India's second-largest public sector bank faces app troubles

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has instructed Bank of Baroda (BoB) to stop adding new customers to its mobile app due to concerns regarding the onboarding process. The RBI's action comes after complaints that BoB employees used the mobile numbers of strangers to meet mobile banking enrolment targets. BoB has stated that it has taken corrective measures and will work closely with the RBI to address their concerns.
