Google's Pixel 4 ad trouble is now $18 million big

Texas has agreed on an $8m settlement with Google over allegations that the company paid radio hosts to provide misleading endorsements of its Pixel 4. The Federal Trade Commission and seven US states had summoned Google and iHeartMedia to court for airing misleading ads about the phones. The ads featured influencers promoting the phones' features without actually owning them. These endorsements were made even though the DJs had not used the phone prior to the advertisements. Google continued to run these ads despite being aware that it was violating the law.
